Inuit-language counsellor training program aims to improve mental-health support in Nunavut

Our Life’s Journey is a unique program in Nunavut that trains Inuit counsellors to provide talk therapy delivered in Inuktitut and rooted in Inuit values. After seeing success in Clyde River, the group behind OLJ has been tapped to train a new team of Inuit counsellors for the first residential addictions and trauma treatment facility in the territory.
