Why it works: Lifestyle changes are difficult due to demands of work, career, family and our social groups. Even for those who are motivated to change, it is not clear which path to follow. It is common for the various diet-plans to provide conflicting information. Some recommend a paleo diet, while others recommend a vegetarian one. Even if one manages to pick an option, these diets are hard to sustain. Why? Because cravings for certain foods you grew up eating kick-in. For instance, if you grew up eating Indian food it is hard to survive on a salad. And you constantly feeling that you are missing out! As a result of poor eating choices, weight-related issues such as belly fat, energy levels, and stress levels remain a major concern.
How it works: The Svelte Zone plan is a balanced nutritional plan utilizing all macronutrient food groups to obtain & maintain a desirable body composition. You can even eat Indian or any cultural food smartly and still lose weight. With my meal plans you feel full and satisfied and the body fat percentage will decrease. The Svelte Zone Program supports your healthy lifestyle transformation in the following way.
Structured approach where good nutrition balances individual palate
Easy to Implement (no counting calories, carbs) = Intuitive eating
Accountability

Kalpana, I was listening to the video but enjoying your kitchen whatever little I saw, looks so lovely.. I love the location of the microwave and the open shelves with traditional Indian vessels..will you please post a video of your kitchen? Or even better.. Can you make 3 svelte meals for a day in that kitchen.. you may have many followers who can come in from different directions like kitchen remodel followers along with healthy eaters from India and rest of the world as well
So true!! Love this 🥰💕 Indian traditional food is based on Ayurveda (Ancient Indian Medical Science). When cooked traditional way it can be amazing for our physical, emotional and spiritual health 🙏🙏💖💖💖
Good topic. A couple of points
1) tone down the Chilli and garlic – too much of both is not good for health
2) we should include millets into our diet – rather than Just rice / wheat / maida
3) Indian rice has very low nutritional value (not sure what are the reasons)
4) We cook our food too much, which also leads to loss of nutrition. Too much Onion in our diet which is also perhaps not good.
5) Over the last 40 years, our vegetables have lost nutritonal value due to excessive chemical farming. Our Fruits too are not varied as it was before. Chemical farming has destroyed our SOIL, agriculture. GM food could also be harmful in long run.

I am American. Over the Summer, I started cooking Indian food with the help of YouTube and it is so flavorful, that it’s all I cook!! I do eat a little bit of meat, but mostly vegetables. I am lactose intolerant, so I limit or avoid dairy. Also, I avoid deep frying any foods. I gained a minimal amount of weight (because it tastes SO good!!!), but I believe I get much more nutrients than with a typical healthy American diet. It really has a lot to do with how you cook and prepare your food and if your food is fresh. I am addicted to Indian food!!!🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love Indian vegetarian cooking but I believe we cook our vegetables to death. I think we should stop doing that.
Thanks for the information. I have had a mostly vegetarian diet since I was teenager. Had a family member tell me it was against God, but here I am many years later still on a mostly vegetarian diet. I am quite a bit healthier than that family member plus look quite a bit younger than my actual age possibly from a vegetarian diet. I think all cuisine has healthy choices. Just need to eat all things in moderation to keep a healthy diet. Indian and Mexican food are my two favorite cuisines.
Informative👍👍👍
