MARIETTA — Memorial Health System has announces it has achieved Primary Stroke through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care for the services of stroke care.
Certification is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Certification by the commission reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
“The achievement means we have a dedicated group of providers and both clinicaland non-clinical support inorder to provide the highest standard of care,” Cindy Carpenter, director of Quality Services and Infection Prevention, said. “It’s a demonstration of meeting higher expectations and standards.”
The community deserves local care that exceeds standards, is easily accessible, and instills confidence for a positive and healthy outcome in patients and their loved ones, she said.
“I know that my family, friends and neighbors will receive the best possible care here in the community, along with the support needed for recovery,” Carpenter said. “I am proud of our healthcare teamthat’s dedicated to stroke care.”
The commission was estabished as nonprofit organization in 1986. Memorial Health System is a not-for-profit regional health system led by a volunteer board of community members.
